It feels awkward, to me anyway, that Tinubu and Shettima will be at the head of government. How does it feel right voting a man who dodged interviews and passed over questions in the only one interview that he actually came to?
Never mind the Illiterate almajiris in the north. It also sheds some light into the minds of the people who voted Tinubu. If there was any doubt that Nigerians are waving the white flag of defeat, Tinubu's win at the polls dispelled it. It seems after decades of military and then civilian dictatorship, corruption and mismanagement, and relentless assault on their values and social fabric, Nigerians have become insensitive to the abnormal.Īfter 20 years of so called democracy, there is is no greater confirmation- that Nigerians have surrendered in defeat and are ok with corrupt people ruling over them- than a vote for Tinubu. Nigerians may have lost what is left of their sense of decency, value, and common sense, voting those two as president and vice.
